Min: My American husband, an example of the Americans that make your life better. Min is friendly and charming. He is honest without being hurtful and finds a way of making you feel good about your awful new tattoo. He likes training and makes a living teaching other people how to get stronger and better versions of themselves. Before he damaged his toe and ancles, he used to hike a lot. One day we'll get out camping and sleeping in tents.
Swede: This Swede I met while studying in Sweden. The first time I talked to her was after a spinning class, yet I didn't recoginize her at the party the same evening. Swede is vegetarian, plays guitar and sings beautifully, loves Spain and surfing, and she usually surrounds herself with good people. Swede stayed with us over the summer 2011, working in the daytime, swimming in the afternoon and mixing drinks with us in the evening.
Geeba: "What the fuck, am I African or what?" she said when she read what I had renamed her. Geeba is very much not African, though when she was 16 she said she feels more European than Norweigan. Geeba has travelled a lot in South America, Australia and Europe. Some of the travelling has been together with me, and she knows my trigger points: when I need alone-time and what makes me explode. She has worked in several places of the world, and is currently living in Svalbard.
