About this blog

This blog is called Norwegianize - to make more Norwegian. This is because I have a masters degree in Nordic language, I teach (among other things) Norwegian at a local middle school, and I am married to an American who is integrating in the Norwegian society.

My husband, Min elskede, will in this blog be refered to as Min (English: mine). We have lived together in Norway since June 2010, and have been through some rough times with various visas denials and passing of family members. People ask me how long we plan on staying in Norway, but it mostly depends on Min. I love living in America; I enjoy the friendliness, the language and the food selection in the stores. I also enjoy being understood at first attempt here in Norway, I like my job and I feel so blessed having my family a short drive away.

The goal of this blog is to keep each entry short. I am trying to focus on smaller scenarios and cut the story after 3 or 4 paragraphs. Partly it is to practise my written English, partly to use typed words to help my memory. Whenever I start freaking out about situations erased from my mind, I have to remind myself that living is in the moment. If you can enjoy the little things in life, cherish the moments when you're truly happy, you have a rich live. Yet I still want to be able to look back on this blog and see what was going on and when.
